How can I create Excel text display from the hyperlink url?
I have 773 Excel records with a site name in the "Text to Display" field of the Hyperlink window. The site name is therefore the text that is displayed in the data cell. Instead of the site name, I need the url displayed as the text in the cells. Is there a way to do this other than manually copy/paste these 773 hyperlinks into the "Text to Display" field for each record? One other thing ... there are many, many other records in the file that already have the url displayed as the text in these cells, but the hyperlinks are wrong for all of these records because I sorted the file. Sorting in Excel causes hyperlinks to get associated to the wrong records. This is a known Excel bug which we are working around by working with the text in the link column rather than using the hyperlinks. Thanks very much.
