How is this book idea?

I love the story in the Hunger Games, and I wanted to write a book somewhat like it, except with a twist: A group of kids are mutated and have special powers which they don't know about, and scientists are working an experiment in which they place all of the kids in an enclosed arena and they see how long it takes the kids to figure out their powers, then they must fight until only one person is left. Too unoriginal?

Change of policy of company sick pay scheme?

My company have for the last 30 years operated a company sick pay scheme whereas you would receive up to 20 days sick pay. Although at the end of the entire contract it is written '****** reserve the right to make make changes', they have not been specific to what changes, (does that give them right to change things willy nilly?) and after 30 years of sick pay would it not be implied that it has become custom and practise and therefore would form part of the contract? However, they have now introduced without agreement from their employees, that after the 3rd sickness, sick pay would not be paid (even though they are operating it as 2 times off, then lose pay). Are they able to do this legally or are they in breach of contract? Thank you

My friend cuts herself, what should i do?

Well, she's been clinically depressed for about a year. She's also bipolar. She used to cut herself, but in February she went to the hospital. She stayed for about a week. She claims that she is getting better. She went to the hospital for attempting suicide, not for cutting. She also only eats 700 calories a day. She says that one day she will kill herself, but not for awhile. She seems happy. She told me i was the first person she's told this to. She doesn't tell her mom this, or her therapist. She told me she felt selfish because she feels bad about her life when other people have it much worse. She said she is planning on possibly killing herself next year. Also, she told me there is a 95% chance she will kill herself one day. She hasn't cut herself in about a month. PLease help..thank you:)

Did my USB 2.0 hard drive kill my laptop?

No. It didn't kill your machines. What it most likely did to your Desktop was nothing. Your laptop though most likely shorted out due to the eminence power needed to power up a USB HDD. Just let your machine sit for a while, then turn it back on. If that doesn't work pull out the battery and wait a minute and plug it back in. The worst that could happen is that the USB HDD has a virus. It can't kill your machines. Let me know how it goes.
