Is it true from the moment we realize the beauty of the opposite sex we tend to want to have one for the rest?

of our lives....but sometimes life does not work the way we expect it too and therefore make general statements such as "marriage is not for me, but am willing to live with someone" Are we all born to seek someone we can spend the rest of our lives with, but some of us become bitter and ruin it for the majority?
