Is it best to neuter as soon as clinically possible, or wait until the dog grows up more?
there will be mixed answers on here about this subject. But when you talk to your vet they will tell you that it's always best to neuter as soon as you can. usually at 4-5 months of age. height and growing all has to do with the breed line, nothing with neutering. The only thing that may change with neutering (apperance wise) will be the weight. A lot of times after neutering the puppy may gain weight because his hormone level will decrease. That can easily be fixed with diet and exercise change. His temperment may change but nothing serious.Usually becomes more mild mannered. Dogs that are neutered also have less of a chance at developing certain cancers ( such as testicular) and studies show neutered dogs have less temperment problems then intact dogs. good luck though.
